About UsWe established the “Jewitt” Flock in 2006, when we bought a Shearling Gimmer and Ewe Lamb privately, then at the Carlisle Imlamb Sale we bought an aged ewe and two Shearling Gimmers which went on to produce a successful base for the flock. We then have built up the flock from buying females from sales and privately from many top UK breeders and in 2013 a trip to Belgium to source new top breeding stock with different new bloodlines.

The flock now runs around 50 Breeding Ewes currently. The flock uses flushing and AI; we flush some of our best ewes yearly, in the hope to improve the genetic base of our flock to a range of top Beltex rams, see our Stock

Why Pick Beltex ?
We have used and are using Beltex Rams successfully on the commercial flock, regularly siring lambs off Mule, Texel Cross and Beltex cross ewes, producing prime lambs averaging over 200p per kg. In comparison to other breeds, Beltex Lambs are gaining a premium prices and more per Kg, proving them to be best choice as a ram on a commercial flock.

We also run a strong flock of aprroximately 50 Texel and Texel cross Beltex ewes to produce top quality Beltex cross tups.
Our aim to produce top quality sheep for all markets from pedigree to commercial to show stock, with our main market been to sell Shearling Rams also Tup Lambs too, along with annual runs of top quality breeding females for sale. We show throughout summer at a number of shows successfully.
